Famous Rapper XXXTentacion was fatally shot on Monday afternoon as he was leaving a motorcycle dealership, RIVA Motorsports, north of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, by unknown thugs in what is thought to be a hit.

In addition, the department confirmed the victim was indeed the 20-year-old rapper, born Jahseh Onfroy. The shooting was first reported at 3:57 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office. Police dispatch audio obtained by TMZ shows the shooting was reported as a possible drive-by involving multiple gunshots.

A witness said someone in a black Dodge SUV fired on someone in a black BMW, according to the dispatcher.

An in an awesome display of the wonders and beauties of ʻʻtechnologyʼʼ some stupid idiotized social media user decided to record video while XXXTentacion laid there motionless and possibly lifeless, as the user kept the tape rolling to post it on twitter. Of course if anyone had instilled in this idiotic putrified Zombie user the value of life, XXXTentacion might still be alive, but as long as the value of views and likes is propounded and purveyed higher than that of a human life no one will have a chance make it out, at least in one piece.

During his stay in the spotlight, the 20-year-old Florida native saw national success as a rapper as well as several high-profile run-ins with the law, including allegations he was abusive.

His debut album, 2017’s 17, peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and his follow-up in March, ?, debuted at No. 1. His single “Sad!,” also from March, cracked the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100.

At the time of the reported shooting this week, however, XXXTentacion was facing trial on multiple felony charges in connection with allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman. He repeatedly denied her accusations, which were detailed at length in a deposition previously published by Pitchfork.
