High profile Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz gets a wake up call this time by way of a lawsuit filed in Civil Court in Dade County ,Miami.

The Lawsuit is asking for restitution of a $2 ' 700,000.00 retainer fee that Plaintiff paid for his services, alleging in part that Mr; Dershowitz failed to represent to the best of his ability the interests of Plaintiff, who is now confined in a Federal prison.

David Brooks, the Plaintiff in this action hired Dershowitz based solely on Defendant ' s representation of his political ties and credentials in Washington D.C.

ʻʻDefendant Dershowitz further misrepresented to Brooks that he was extremely influential in the Courts because he was a Harvard Law School Professor, had taught 6 out of the 9 Supreme Court Justices, had relationships with the Judges and was well liked in the Appellate Courts, specifically in the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals. ʼʼ

Sometime in September, 2012 Defendant Alan Dershowitz represented to David H. Brooks that he would act as his lead counsel and would represent him in post-trial motions, the appeal of his criminal conviction, read and review his full trial transcript; prepare his appellate brief; present oral argument to the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals and utilize his vast extensive political connections and relationships right up to the White House to help get him out of jail.

Defendant Dershowitz further misrepresented to Brooks that he was extremely influential in the Courts because he was a Harvard Law School Professor, had taught 6 out of the 9 Supreme Court Justices, had relationships with the Judges and was well liked in the Appellate Courts, specifically in the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.

It is in light of this that Plaintiff brings suit against him, Dershowitz further represented to the Plaintiff both expressly and impliedly that he was highly competent and skilled in the handling of the above mentioned matters.

But Mr; Brooks alleges the opposite: in that in fact the Defendant piggy backed his draft submissions from the work of other attorneys... which have cost the Plaintiff nearly over $5 ' 000,000.00 up to date.
